Stanky unhappy Sox win in rough series
Eddie Stanky criticized the Chicago White Sox after a 6-2 and 7-3 series sweep of Oakland. He praised the team's comeback to 15-7 in 22 but said the club made too many mistakes and he was not pleased with their play despite moving up to sixth and remaining six games behind Detroit. Tommy John delivered a three run homer and a six hitter in a strong first game win.
