Funeral for Joseph E Myall Held Thursday in Washington
Funeral services for Joseph Edward Myall are set for Thursday at 2.30 PM at the L A Jones funeral home with Dr F W Eastwood of the Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will follow in Kim Grove cemetery. Myall died last night at his West Madison street home after a two week illness triggered by his wife’s sudden death a week earlier. Born February 26 1874 in Franklin township he lived his life in Washington county. He married Anna May Hoxworth on February 12 1902.

Des Moines May 20 Farmers in Iowa benefited from ideal conditions last week for spring farm work. Corn planting advanced a week and about four fifths done with some fields above ground. Small grain and pastures improved while scattered showers kept soil moisture steady. Frost damage was less than feared though more frosts were forecast. Light frosts were reported in central Iowa and temperatures dipped to near 30 at Inwood after a day high at Lamoni. Heavy showers fell in the southeast with Keokuk 0.46, Burlington 0.87, Davenport 0.22 inches.
