Inmates charged over riot at Iowa Men's Reformatory

An 18 year old Yonk ers youth named David Lambert had his right arm torn from its socket by a speeding train. Doctors at Yonkers General Hospital spent six and a half hours Sunday to reattach the limb, which was delivered to the hospital in a cardboard box and remained on the critical list.

Drownings Claim Two Iowa Boys In Separate Incidents
United Press International reports two Iowa youths drowned on Saturday. In Dubuque a 10 year old in a pool contest under water longest died after his body was recovered from about five feet of water in the YMCA pool. In Council Bluffs an 8 year old boy slipped into Mosquito Creek south of the city and drowned.

Four die in weekend Iowa crashes raise toll
Four people were killed in weekend crashes in Iowa, including a young engaged couple and a Knoxville woman in a two car collision on U.S. 6 in Louisa County near Iowa 92. James Lillig, 21, of Tiffin, and Kathleen Shabel, 21, of Davenport, were engaged. Mrs Orlo Morrow, 68, of Knoxville, died and her husband was injured. The Farmers Home Administration approves a $60,000 loan to Lagos Acres, a Keota community group of 175 farm and rural families, to finance a golf club and swimming pool. The project uses 60 acres of land and will be repaid over 40 years with funds from the Farmers Savings Bank of Keota. Non members may access facilities with town residents paying admission. Two hurt as light plane crashes near Burlington airport

Cuts ordered in Johnson's budget for space and urban programs
Washington UPI The House Appropriations Committee ordered major cuts in President Johnsons budget, trimming funds for space research and development and civil defense. The panel also proposed a 1500 FAA job reduction and slashed urban renewal and planning allocations, bringing total cuts to $925 million and the 1964 total to $13.3 billion.
