President Roosevelt sent Congress a two fold unemployment relief program linking a large public works plan with a cooperative industry effort to accelerate re employment. He urged action before the special session adjourns and proposed a shorter work week with a decent wage and anti trust controls to curb over production. He suggested repeal of the eighteenth amendment to fund public works but gave no funding details and urged the Ways and Means Committee to study revenue options early next week.

James Jardon Green baby son of James Therion Green and the late Hannah Welch Green died in Laramie Wyoming from kidney albumen disease. Grandparents Mr and Mrs Sherm Welch were notified by Esther Condit of Pueblo Colorado. The infant, born June 24 1922, was living with Mr and Mrs Boyd Condit of Laramie and had been hoped for adoption.
