Gasoline Fire Fatal Explosion in Iowa Trailer
In Boone Iowa Mrs Marcel Cunningham 34 of Des Moines died from burns after a stove exploded in a trailer on the Des Moines River near Madrid Tuesday. Gasoline reportedly added to the stove to help it burn sparked the blast injuring four other family members. Husband James 54 is in fair condition with severe burns on his hands. Children Joyce 16 Joan 13 and Johnny 3 received minor burns and were released.

Oba J Miller 77 died at his home four miles northeast of Kalona at 4 30 pm Tuesday after a week long illness. Funeral services are set for 2 pm Thursday at the Linus Gingerich home with Fred Nisly in charge. Burial will be in Peter Miller cemetery north of Kalona. He was born February 6 1880 in Goshen Indiana the son of Jons and Barbara Christner Miller. He married Mary Ann Miller February 4 1901 in Ohio. They moved to Iowa in 1925 and lived in the Kalona area since. Survivors include his widow four daughters Mrs Omer Miller Mrs C Jay Miller Mrs Paul D Gingerich and Mrs Ray Beachy all of Kalona four sons Ora of Sarasota Florida Jonas of Middleburg Indiana Ira and Jesse of Wellman one brother Sam Green.
