Massey Harris Launches Famine Fight Program
Massey Harris implement company and dealers announce a famine fighting program aimed at reducing a food crisis potentially worse than wartime. Miller's Garage in West Chester serves as the local Massey Harris dealer. The plan urges farmers to maximize planting and minimize waste, noting field trampling wastes about 20 bushels per 40 acre field. Self propelled combines could cut waste by opening fields for more efficient harvesting, boosting grain available for relief efforts.
