Omaha police say one car recovered yesterday leads to the arrest of Harry Moore of Des Moines Iowa and two youths. Investigators believe the ring has stolen and disposed of about 250000 dollars worth of automobiles across Nebraska and nearby cities.
In New York on May 12 a rain delay faded as fans pressed for $1 and $2 seats at Yankee Stadium for the all star heavyweight charity show. Jess Willard entered Madison Square Garden at 248 4 pounds while Floyd Johnson weighed 195. He said the arrangement under which the prisoners were obtained from England included compliance with habeas corpus motions. A writ of habeas corpus was recently attained in England for O’Brien.
W A Guild of Des Moines was elected president of the Middle States Society of Electric Medicine at a meeting here yesterday. Dr H J Marshal of Des Moines was named secretary and Dr Jean Dupessis of Chicago was elected vice president. The society was organized at yesterday's meeting.
Clarinda reports Mrs. Robert McFarland, 35, was killed when a wheel came off the car last night. Her three year old son was seriously injured. Two other passengers escaped unharmed as the vehicle overturned near Clarinda.
Heavy rain overnight made travel hard in Des Moines delaying weekend parties. Members of the automobile club warned many roads will be impassable for two days.
In Tientsin May 12 Major Roland Pinger and his son Roland Jr. were released by Shantung Hills bandits along with Robert Allen Jr. son of Major Allen. The boys arrived with Chinese clothing and reported no ill treatment while expressing excitement over the adventure.
About 426 seniors from 30 departments will graduate in June at Iowa State College. Commencement speaker will be George E Roberts of National City Bank New York. The class includes a large home economics group and memorial arches will be erected at campus entrances by the 1923 graduates.
