There will be a candy social at the White Oak school house two miles west of Weilston on Tuesday evening May 15. Ladies are asked to bring boxes. Alma Colpmar is the teacher. The OFB Covenant 101 takes up May 13 for club and restroom plans.

The Iowa Gas and Electric company begins new rural lines serving farm families. A 26 customer line from Wellman, a Keota to Singmaster ranch extension, and an Olds segment with fifteen farmers are under construction. A six mile pole stretch northeast from Washington will serve fifteen farms, with more to follow. Harper will receive Keota to Harper service, financed by local businessmen.

Washington reports that army airplanes will begin forest patrols on June 1 to provide early warning of fires. Two patrol routes will run from March Field near Riverside California about 100 miles long with two daily passes. An additional balloon observation will cover much of the Angeles National Forest from Arcadia California.

George J Gould executor and trustee of Jay Gould estate was ordered by Supreme Court Justice Mintoek to show cause why he should not be removed. Frank J Gould alleges frauds and law violations causing an estate loss of 25 million dollars. An affidavit by Walter B Walker claims frauds even against brothers and sisters and sustained trustee violations.
