Students Enjoy Banquet and Prom at Washington High
Saturday night the annual junior senior banquet and prom at Washington high School drew students from the turn of the century Mississippi River showboat to Paris in the spring. Theme showboat then An Evening in Paris with Miss Bernice Wilcke heading prom preparations and Miss Delores Mitchell in charge of the banquet. Frank Kos welcomed the seniors. Joe Pollock spoke for the seniors. Rev. Lloyd Latta gave the invocation and Dave Livingston of Washington, Ann Stewart and Sharon Erwin spoke in brief program notes.

Dilts Boy Injured After Struck by Car Near Columbus Junction
Dennis Dilts 13 son of Mr and Mrs Richard Dilts of Letts sustained a fractured skull when he dashed onto highway 76 four miles north of Columbus Junction as a car driven by Everett Stapp of Columbus Junction approached.
