Governor to request a full report on bids for a year's supply of state liquor seals. The state printing board, by four to one, chose Consolidated Decal Company of Brooklyn, N Y, at 82 cents per 1000 for 12 million seals. Other bids were 79 and 76 cents by Meyer Cord Co Chicago and 68 cents by American Bank Note Co New York.

Creamery and Union Guilty in Milk Price Fixing Case
A federal jury found Beatrice Creamery Co and the Truck Drivers Union along with nine individuals guilty of Sherman Act violations for conspiring to fix milk prices in the Dubuque area. Judge George C. Scott fined the company 1000 dollars, the union 500, and each defendant 500. the nine received six months in jail but were placed on probation if fines and costs are paid.

Car Hits Boulder Injuring Four East of Here
Four young persons were injured when their car went out of control on Highway 3s four miles east of here. A broken arm and a brain concussion were among the injuries. Two girls had cuts and bruises. All but the two girls were taken to Allen hospital in Waterloo. The car rolled about 80 feet before hitting a heavy boulder and moved it about six inches.

Promise Clean up at Des Moines State Fairgrounds
Lloyd B. Cunningham secretary of the state fair board promised to clean up sanitary conditions at the fairgrounds after an afternoon conference with Dr. Walter Bierring head of the state health department and A H Wieters of the sanitation division. They reviewed a report saying drinking and toilet facilities were inadequate and Cunningham said comfort stations would be established as finances permit and conditions corrected.

Brooder House Lost in Fire Near Town
An oil stove exploded in a turkey brooder house at the Walter Smith home six and one half miles north of town yesterday afternoon around four o clock destroying the building and contents. Mr Smith was inside but escaped unharmed. The Farmers Mutual fire truck from Washington arrived too late to prevent spread to seven nearby brooders though neighbors kept it from spreading. The loss is comparatively slight though the brooder house itself was uninsured.
