Foster Radio Service Celebrates Seventh Anniversary
May 6 marks the seventh business anniversary for Lawrence Foster owner of Foster Radio Service at 113 North Iowa Ave. Foster, a veteran radio technician, began in 1922 and started his shop in 1926 later operating at 207 South Marion before the war. He closed during the war, worked in Burling ton as radio service manager for Union Supply, 1942–44, then reopened at the current location in 1944. He has added new testing gear and now designs custom electronic equipment as a sideline.

Elizabeth Ferguson Dies at 82 in Crawfordsville
Elizabeth Jane Ferguson 82 died at 9 30 this morning. She was the last member of a pioneer Crawfordsville family. Funeral services are set for two o clock Thursday at Jones funeral home with Rev D K Ford in charge. Burial will be in Crawfordsville cemetery. She was born Sept 2 1864 the daughter of Samuel and Elsie Goble Ferguson. She had been a semi invalid since childhood. Surviving are a nephew Earl E Ferguson of Crawfordsville and a brother Robert Ferguson who died two years ago.

Three Die After Drinking Antifreeze Solution
Coroner A. E. Shaw reported three men died from antifreeze solution after a drinking bout on a dump last night. Milton Martinez 28 and Sattval A. Lee 60, both Des Moines residents, were identified. A slip bearing the name Ray Mundo was found in the third man’s pocket, the sole clue to his identity.
