Maynard Brown Praises High School Fire Drill Progress

A large crowd attended Washington High School Thursday night for the annual Festival Concert. Under directors Robert Ferrell and Melvin Hill the finale featured both vocal and instrumental departments with senior performers from the band and chorus. Hill will leave for Highland University in Las Vegas New Mexico after this term. The program opened with Loewe Bennett selections from My Fair Lady and closed with gifts from the bands and choruses to their directors and accompanist Enid McConnell.
