Charles E B Wood, a Washington millionaire who died recently, left nearly 1.5 million dollars to the Battle Creek sanatorium with the condition that a branch be built at Atlantic City New Jersey. Dr John H Kellogg, head of the sanatorium, says the bequest makes the hospital independent after his expulsion from the Adventist church which had supported it.
