Blaine McCaulley a 24 year old from Albia escaped Fort Madison prison for about 12 hours yesterday. He looted a car from Loren Welshs garage and broke into Alvi McKeons home before being stopped at a roadblock by two state patrolmen and returned to the prison. McCaulley was serving a five year term for malicious injury to buildings in Dickinson County set in 1946.
