Judge Hamilton Holds Court Today
Judge D W Hamilton of Grinnell sat in Washington this morning with county attorneys. The Banks divorce case was decided with a decree granting Phebe Banks against J L Banks. Twelve jury cases are assigned for trial next week and a conference with attorneys and the judge will decide which are tried this term.

Pledges Sought to Expand Winter Lecture Course
Canvass by Washington Improvement League reports all pledges for the 220 tickets have been taken but more must be sold to cover the course costs. Signatures may be obtained from Miss Elizabeth Dannon at the west side drug store. Next year’s program will cost more and include two lectures one entertainment and two high class music numbers.
