Five Hundred Rebs Killed in Manila Battle
In a morning engagement near Caloocan American forces under General Otis and General MacArthur won a decisive victory. Rebel losses reached around five hundred killed or wounded with many captured. American losses stood at sixteen killed and about one hundred thirty wounded. Aguinaldo’s forces were driven toward Malabon and Malolos appears to be the next objective.

Oscar Nellis of Lodi South Dakota faces arrest in the murder of Mr and Mrs Schulz near Cherokee in August 1893.
