She was 72 and had long resided in Washington before moving. She leaves two children Harry Bennett and Mrs Jones a brother Ben Rogers of Mt Pleasant and a late civil war veteran husband Robert Bennett. She belonged to United Presbyterian church and the Women s Relief corps.

D. P. Thompson of Inland Steel, Chicago, lies with pneumonia at the Roney Plaza in Miami. Medical aid by air and auto rushed to his bedside, but death occurred before the second race could reach him. John M. Clancy 87 died at 7 55 this morning at Washington county hospital after illness of many years. Funeral plans were indefinite with arrangements not finalized. Brockway Sentenced for Robberies at Anamosa Reform School
COLUMBUS JUNCTION March 24 Lyle Brockway 17 son of Mr and Mrs Mark Brockway Conesville was sentenced by Judge W W Scott in Scott County District Court to up to 25 years for a series of robberies. He was sent Saturday to the state reformatory at Anamosa to begin serving. Brockway and William Wailand were arrested Feb 17 in Davenport and confessed to robberies at six filling stations and a coffee house baths among other crimes. Wailand 22 also pleaded guilty and is serving a 25 year term.
