Mrs. Lucille Myers a 51 year old probation officer was shot and killed by Lester Simpkins a civil engineer in Gary Indiana. Simpkins fled after the attack as Myers son William 21 rushed her to hospital where she died. The shooting occurred as Simpkins wife had just given birth to their tenth child with six of the couple’s other children present.
