John A. Spenner 81 died at an Iowa City hospital. Funeral services held at the Kalona Methodist church with burial in Kalona cemetery. He was born west of Riverside, retired to Iowa City in 1930, married Elizabeth Ratzlaff on Nov 7 1894. Surviving are his widow three sons William Albert of Riverside Frank of Trinidad Colo one brother Florence Kalona and eight grandchildren. One son died in infancy.

R P Halleck member of the state highway patrol filed papers with Justice J Bovee in the case of Lyle Eugene Wandling of Davenport held in the Washington county jail since last month. The car registered in Wandling’s name in Scott county Iowa is to be confiscated and sold under state law. District court action to follow.
