The Cass County Orphans' Home in Logansport Indiana is under quarantine after two of its twenty five children contract diphtheria. The sick children are the son and daughter of James Davisson who recently tried to enter a cab where his wife was driving but was beaten off by the driver. The wife is at the Home for the Friendless ill as a result of his actions. He is at large and police have a warrant for his arrest on assault and battery charges.
In Cleveland on March 17 the United States prosecuted four Hungarians for counterfeiting twenty kronen notes and sending them to Hungary. Judge Taylor interrupted the defense attorney who attacked the Austrian government, turning the scene into a delicate international incident with Louis de Jeszersky, the Hungarian consul, observing.
