George McAvoy of Cedar Rapids died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon after a brief illness. Funeral services are set for Woodlawn cemetery in Washington at 2:30 tomorrow. He leaves a widow, son Merle, brother Lee of West Chester, and sister Mrs. Atlena Chance of Washington, born May 16 1868 in Louisa County. He lived on a farm northwest of Washington for 22 years and in Cedar Rapids for 13 years.
