Funeral for Dr A Droz to be held at St James Church
Funeral services for Dr. A Droz who died yesterday at Augustana hospital in Chicago will be held Saturday at nine in St James Catholic church. Rosary will be said this evening at the L A Jones funeral home. Burial likely in Fairfield. Dr Droz born June 24 1874 near Fairfield attended Parsons academy and Keokuk medical college later did surgical training in Chicago and New York. Survived by wife Clara and two children Keith and Virginia. He practiced in Ainsworth West Chester Keota and Washington where he built a large practice and earned a wide reputation as a skillful surgeon. He married Clara Hamilton on June 1 1898. Survivors include brothers and sisters in Fairfield Eugene Oregon Birmingham Iowa and Washington. He had gall bladder surgery in Chicago last Tuesday and suffered a heart ailment for years.
