Gasoline economy improves with ratios of 7 to 1 for sixes and 7.25 to 1 for eights. New air cleaner, fuel pump, brakes, drums, hand brake, and upholstery enhancements including nylon fabrics and nylon-lace options.
Harold Miller marks a quarter century in Chrysler Plymouth sales and service at West Chester. The event features the Silver Anniversary Chrysler model, a grand opening of a new building, and an expanded lineup with Massey Harris and New Holland farm implements. The showroom shows a modern design with updated interiors and new engineering features in the 1948- model.
Chrysler introduces the 1949 Silver Anniversary line with over 50 engineering improvements and a new fully modern styling. The lineup adds eight and six cylinder bodies including Royal Windsor Saratoga New Yorker Crown Imperial and Town and Country with longer wheelbases and wider seats for comfort and safer rear entry from center doors.
