Tokio dispatch reports Japanese troops occupy Mukden at 10 this morning. Russians panic as thousands of prisoners and vast stores and guns fall into Japanese hands. Japan destroys railways and drives Russians northward with the extreme right within five miles of Fushan. Kassai heavy and many field guns captured.
London dispatches report Japanese forces pressing near Mukden with reports of Russian retreat and Kuropatkin's uncertain fate. Other wires claim rail lines and passes like Fu pass and Tie pass may be threatened or cut, while Russian and Japanese positions are unsettled and censored.
Grand Chief Sanford Stone of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers revoked the charters of the striking inter borough engineers in New York. The action was announced from Cleveland on March 10 in a special report to the Evening Journal.
Lorain Ohio March 10 The James C Wallace steamship built by American Shipbuilding Company yards has been successfully launched. It ranks among the lake’s largest vessels with a 10 000 ton capacity. The ship measures about 1 1 feet overall 582 feet keel and a mid beam.

President and Mrs. Roosevelt dined with the president's sister Mrs W S Cowles at her Washington residence. Guests included English actors Sir Charles Wyndham and Gilbert Farquhar. Farquhar is brother of Baron Horace Brand, master of King Edward's household.
In Hartford on March 10 the supreme court upheld the superior court ruling that a sealed letter in the Philo S. Bennett will containing a $50,000 bequest to William J. Bryan is not part of the Bennett will.
