Hinois Will Use Birth Control Plan

SPRINGFIELD Ill. (UPI) The Hinois Public Aid Commission SPAC today made plans to offer birth control information and devices to married women and unmarried mothers on relief. The plan, aimed at reducing dependent children and costs, will take effect April 1 after a 73 vote to override a delay motion. The plan could save the state about 1.25 million annually and prevent 4,000 to 5,000 in Cook County. Auditor Michael Howlett opposed the program calling contraceptives cheaper than babies and calling the plan a horrible mistake.
