Farmers' Loan and Trust absorbs First National Bank
Sioux City reports that the Farmers' Loan and Trust company has absorbed the First National Bank through stock purchases by its stockholders. The First National failed in 1896 and has not thrived since a reorganization allowed a partial resumption. A savings bank is planned at the former bank site.

Cedar Rapids March 8 Eichholz arrested on a warrant issued by Justice Sloan for perjury. He waived preliminary examination and was held to await the grand jury, bond set at 300, bonds posted and released. He allegedly aided J H Wilson to obtain a marriage license for Miss Mary Moore, age 13, claimed 19. Wilco also arrested and bound over to await the grand jury.
Spook Demands Cremation Following Dream Visit
Ernest Heinig died by his own hand on January 30 after job loss. His sister Mrs Leuchner awoke to a dream in which Heinig demanded cremation, prompting her to exhume and burn his body at Lindenwood crematory on Saturday night in Fort Wayne Indiana.
