Fire destroys a livestock barn on Boyd Dunbar farm
A livestock barn on the Boyd Dunbar farm six and a half miles north of Washington on Riverside road was destroyed by fire Wednesday night. Washington firemen responded at 7 30 p.m. and worked two hours. Officials believe an overheated heat lamp started the blaze. The barn, termed a total loss, housed pigs sows and calves. all livestock perished. Riverside department assisted in control efforts.

Christmas Seals drive hits quota in Washington County
The TB and Health association reported a $4,087.86 total from Christmas Seals sales at an executive meeting hosted by Mrs. Larry Duncan. Miner Trapped for Days Receives Water Via Pipe
In LARK Utah United Press International reports rescue workers forced a two inch pipe to deliver small amounts of water to William Vernon Jones a 60 year old veteran miner and father of 11 trapped since last Saturday by a cave in. Jones four and a half miles beneath the Oquirrh Mountain Mine said he is not hurt and spoke with his sons Clarence and Glen Wednesday night as rescuers struggle to reach him.
