New Jersey Fights Prohibition Amendment In Supreme Court

New Jersey through Attorney General Thomas F McCrah and Daniel Roper seeks to have the prohibition amendment declared unconstitutional and to block enforcement of the Volstead Act. The suit argues the amendment is legislative not constitutional, centralizes power without consent, and would destroy state revenues from licenses. Also claims it restricts physicians and infringes internal state affairs.
