James Abraham Walker aged 90 died last night at Washington county hospital after an illness beginning the prior Friday. Funeral services set for Thursday at L A Jones funeral home with Rev Ada Hillis officiating. Burial in Elm Grove cemetery. Born October 10 1852 in Virginia he lived in Washington county 70 years and served as Dayton Grove school director over 40 years. He married Martha Dayton in 1876 who died in 1935. Survived by two daughters Hannah Crossett and Jennie Heringe a son Joseph Walker a brother John Walker eight grandchildren eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
