Hugh Arthur, commander of the J G White post of the GAR, died yesterday evening after a heart attack. He was born December 17, 1844 in Carroll county Ohio and served in the 126th battery Ohio light artillery during the Civil War. He is survived by eight children and nineteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 PM at the First United Presbyterian church with burial in Elm Grove cemetery.
