Hails Far Aide Law as Great Forward Step
Des Moines June 2. The new farm aid law is a definite commitment by the government to provide a remedy for farm ills. Congressman L. J. Dickinson of Algona told members of the Des Moines chamber of commerce this noon. He said the measure’s success depends on the board to administer the bill and will bring results heretofore undreamed of, influencing centralized markets. He added the act will not affect legitimate grain merchants but will hit firms speculating in the market. Dickinson asserted Americans produce more than 50 million dollars worth of food products annually and Iowa must reorganize economically to meet changing conditions.
