Shirley Feehan was honored at a miscellaneous shower in Mrs. Dillon Feehan home. Hostesses were Mrs. Orin Carr of Ainsworth Mrs. Gary Napp and Donna Car. Twelve guests attended as games were played gifts unwrapped and refreshments served in yellow and white. Miss Feehan will wed Richard DeWayne Kirk of Conesville June 29.
Plans for a July 13 barbecue at MacMillan Park Mt Pleasant were discussed by the Washington County Republican Women's executive committee Tuesday. Hostess Mrs Edgar Stewart and president Mrs Robert Stephens led the meeting as members were asked to bring grab bag gifts to Mrs Keith Vetter. The district Republican women sponsor the event and tickets are available from committeemen and committeewomen. AIR BASE Texas has 19 U.S. Air Force bases.
L/Cpl Robert G Harvey solicits items for Vietnam relief. Mounds of toys clothes and dried foods have filled the Journal basement as Roma Pearl and Maxine Moore help organize the donations. The public can drop items at the Journal office to support the effort.
Mrs Robert Dunbar of the Washington chapter was appointed president of the College of Regents for one year at the International Conference of the Women of the Moose in Chicago and Mooseheart Ill. She has held Academy of Friendship Graduate Regents College of Regents Deputy Grand Regent of Iowa and was a member of the International Board of College of Regents. The appointment reflects her service in Mooseheart and Moosehaven programs.
