Col. John C. Nickerson Jr testifies at his court martial that a gross over emphasis on air power exists in the Defense Department. He argues reliance on air power alone risks total defeat if Soviet forces overrun free world areas while defending against secret document mishandling and memos sent to outsiders. He contrasts air power with ground forces and asserts the Army’s position as valid amid interservice disputes over missiles and strategy.
