Kosygin to meet Castro in Havana after New York trip
Soviet Premier Alexei Kosygin wrapped last minute talks with aides and Arab leaders before flying to Havana to meet Cuban Premier Fidel Castro. At Kennedy Airport a flight plan for Havana was filed about an hour prior to an 11:50 a.m. EDT departure. Kosygin’s associates included Syrian President Noured din al Atassi and Soviet UN Ambassador Nikolai Federenko, while a Jordanian leader’s planned meeting did not occur. His daughter Lyudmila vanished briefly in a car with two women before returning an hour and twenty minutes later with no explanation.

Two Teens Die In Early Morning Crash West Of Brighton
Two Washington teenagers Stephen Fenno 16 and Stephen Pettavino 18 died when their car left highways 78 and 1 two miles west of Brighton at about 12 50 a m. Fenno drove and lost control plunging into a ravine. Fenno was a Washington High School student and Pettavino a Washington High School graduate. Funeral services were held for Fenno at Sherman Eden Funeral Home and Pettavino’s funeral was scheduled for Wednesday at the same funeral home. The wreck was not found until 9 30 a m with a farmer hearing a crash about 1 a m.

United Press International reports six deaths on Iowa roads including a three year old Des Moines boy struck near home.
