Funeral Services Planned for Tallyrand Resident
The plan for funeral services for Mrs. Kiefer, 64, of Tallyrand, follows her death Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital in Cellar Rapids after seven days of illness. Services are set for 9 a.m. Friday at St. Peter and Paul’s Church Keota with Rev. Paul Kleinsfelder officiating. Burial will be at Clear Creek. She was born October 30 in Mahaska county to Valentine and Anna Redlinger. She married John Kiefer in February 1905. he died May 15, 1952. Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Richard Hamens of Sigourney, five sons Leo Zeno Raymond William and Clarence of Keota, and several grandchildren. A sister Mrs. Anna Fritz of East Pleasant Plain also survives, along with four brothers Matt Redlinger Washington John Redlinger Harper Valentine Redlinger Omaha and William Redlinger California.
