Charles Gray Wilson aged 87 died at his Chicago home on Saturday June 12 after a five year bedfast illness. He was born in Washington Iowa December 16 1860 and worked in the newspaper trade including foreman of the Evening Star composing room and later at the Chicago Daily News. He is survived by wife Anna Penfield Wilson son Garrett Wilson brother Frank L Wilson and grandsons William and Robert Wilson. Interment was in Chicago on June 15.

Des Moines June 22 UP Two of every three World War II veterans in Iowa have used GI bill benefits since enactment four years ago. Iowa VA center head W B Nugent says about 177000 veterans have participated in education training loans and readjustment allowances. Of 268000 WW II veterans in the state more than 315 percent have received schooling or job training. About 4460 are in job or institutional training and 1700 drawing unemployment allowances. GI loan activity shows 2029 loans paid in full totaling 6812 dollars.
