Washington June 22 General Crowder provost marshal general calls 8 976 deaf registrants qualified for general military service to be sent July 15 to various schools for special training. The call is to be held open for volunteers until July 1.

Italian cavalry charged to clear barricades on the Piave front, taking 70 prisoners and seizing three machine guns.
