House Appropriations Approves Kennedy Defense Plan

The House Appropriations Committee backed Kennedy defense spending of 47 billion for the new fiscal year, closely tracing his request while cutting waste. McNamara faces limited funds for the RS70 and Dynasoar projects, with room to reallocate if needed, signaling both programs may stall. The action undermines GOP hopes to reduce Kennedy's total 108 billion budget request by 10 to 15 billion.
