Berlin officials said starting today all British passenger traffic to and from the city would shift to air routes to replace suspended inter zonal train service. The move follows currency reform that invalidates Reichsmarks in western zones and blocks Soviet border traffic, with detours via West German routes and planned U S responses unclear.
Sheriff H. M. Putnam and deputy Robert Fillmore investigated three crashes in Washington county yesterday afternoon. Francis Hagen of Stockport Iowa was involved in two accidents within 15 minutes in Brighton and Ainsworth. Damages were about 200 dollars with minor injuries to George R. Luecht, a passenger in John Paul Russell’s car.

Guy Hesseltine a 32 year old Brighton farmer was fatally injured when the tractor he was using toppled onto him near his home.
