Traylor Family and Lincoln Era Tales Move Westward

A fragmented narrative follows Samon and Sarah Traylor with children Josiah and Ray as they travel from Vergennes Vermont toward Illinois County of the Sensamen. The plot threads cover feuds, romance, Black Hawk War service, and a Underground Railroad hiding place led by Traylor aiding escaped slaves amid threats from Biggs and Armetrone.
