Four Des Moines men were killed when their plane crashed into a muddy wheat field four miles south of St. Marys Kansas during a severe electrical storm. The victims were Warren H. James Marion Shaffer of Washington was arraigned before Justice Rayburn and confined to the county jail for five days on a charge of intoxication. He was placed under the care of a physician during confinement. A bus collision in Merrill Iowa last night left nine bus passengers hospitalized in Sioux City. Duane Kenney, 26, of Fresno California, the car’s driver and sole occupant, was killed.
