Young Man Dies In Plane Crash Near Columbus Junction
Rob Hesseltine 20 and LeRoy Evans 20 were seriously injured when the Silvair airplane owned by Hesseltine crashed in a corn field near Columbus Junction. Hesseltine died en route to University Hospital Iowa City. Evans remained in serious condition hospitalized. Both graduates of Columbus Junction High School had served in the army. Hesseltine's body returned to Richie funeral home.
