Paris June 12 Special The government faces defeat in the Chamber of Deputies over the order of the day triggering the cabinet to resign amid intense excitement and political upheaval in France.
Paris June 12 President Loubet toured to Longchamp for the Grand Prix amid a massive security presence. Thousands of demonstrators from reform and socialist groups cheered Vive Loubet and the Republic as police and troops lined the route and guards blocked access to the course. The president departed after a short appearance, returning to the Elysee by 4 p.m. with no major incidents.
In Benton Harbor Michigan A C King says the peach crop will be large despite early frost fears. He employs thinning as trees bear heavy loads signaling a strong season. Fellow grower M A Jennings sold a 30 acre peach orchard to a Chicago firm for 8600 dollars, signaling high fruit value this year.
Dr. John Scott assistant state veterinarian is sent to Lincoln and other public institutions to test cattle supplying milk to inmates for tuberculosis screening.
Mrs. Jenne Belau, owner of a saloon at 146 LaSalle avenue, was assaulted early Saturday by three robbers, including her son Archie Wynn and a young woman acquaintance Grace Doyle. The trio, who chloroformed her, escaped with money and were later arrested at 146 Wells street. Wynn confessed the crime.

In Muscatine Iowa Ferdinand Kaufman aged 2 hanged himself in his son Adolph Kaufmans barn in Chicago illness. In Valladolid Spain a tornado leveled San Pedro and Alarse destroying about 150 houses with ten bodies recovered. In Peoria Illinois the Republic Tron and Steel Co resumes 300 jobs at the Peoria Steel and Ironworks. In Springfield Missouri William Frederick Bischoff aged 57 dies after twenty two years in evangelistic work across the state.
An American force of 4,500 drove insurgents from the Manila bay district between San Pedro, Macati, Paranaque, and Las Pinas. General Lawton occupied Paranaque and nearby villages, preparing to move toward Huecoor as rebels deserted trenches overnight. Filipino losses numbered about fifty killed and 350 wounded with twenty prisoners. Rebels, poor marksmanship and cover aided escape.
