Rain Delays Community Fraternal Decoration Services
Heavy rain disrupted decoration day plans for Odd Fellows Rebekahs and Knights of Pythias. Grandmaster Neff arrived late, attendance fell to about 140, graves at Elm Grove and Woodlawn were decorated, and a concerted effort followed at the halls with speeches and rituals. The Woodmen postponed their observance, but family graves will still be honored in coming weeks. A total of 56 graves were decorated by the two lodges and 55 by accompanying firemen and bands.
