International Machinists Seek Funds For Strikers

The International Association convention decided to extend financial aid to non-union strikers, with no fixed cap on relief and over $40,000 disbursed since May 20. A special strike fund of more than $150,000 remains intact, and Britain may be asked for aid if the fight lasts longer. The group also discussed changing headquarters and noted California firms cutting hours and raising pay. Milwaukee is favored for the next meeting.
