Witthoft Dies After Sudden Illness At 67
Christopher Henry Witthoft died at 7 30 AM at his home 215 East Washington after a brief illness of about two hours. Funeral 2 30 PM Sunday at Sherman’s funeral home with Rev C W Klein officiating. Burial Elm Grove cemetery. Survived by wife and six children, twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild. Born August 27 1848 in Harper Germany he came to America at 19 and lived in Lincoln Illinois before moving to Washington in 1895. He was a farmer and Evangelical Church member.

David R. Jones 74, longtime Cotter resident, died after paralysis. Funeral services were held at Cotter Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Cambrian Cemetery. Survived by widow Margaret Anwyl. children Oscar A. and Mary Ethel preceded in death. Mr Jones born in Venedocia Ohio November 1 1858 arrived 1882.
