Carroll Man Dies After Pool Hall Altercation
George Pfiffer 67 of Goon Rapids died in a hospital Monday from a broken neck in an alleged pool hall altercation. County Attorney Robert Bruner charged Pfiffer's attacker with assault. Frank Ockenfels 67 of Goon Rapids was charged with assault and released on bond. Bruner planned to pursue second degree murder charges against Ockenfels.

Des Moines man jailed for illegal liquor transport in Hampton
