He was fined costs and jailed for nonpayment while Justice of the Peace noted higher penalties than those given to another driver. Highway Patrolman Jack Beaman cited police actions Sunday night after spotting the marshal and a teenager racing.
An 18 year old from New London was charged with reckless driving after a speed contest on Iowason near Salem. The other driver, Larry D. Pear, was fined 25 dollars plus costs.
