Interstate Commerce Law Rewrite Tightens Railroad Rebates
The proposed bill amends the 1887 Interstate Commerce Act to bring pipelines bridges and private car lines under common carrier rules. It bars inter state free tickets limits through routes and requires published rates and penalties for rebates with criminal and civil penalties for violators and a new rate fixing and review power for the Interstate Commerce Commission.
