Leaves for Moscow Friday Night Rusk to Sign Test Ban Pact
Washington United Press International reports Secretary of State Dean Rusk will lead an 11 member U.S. delegation to Moscow for the signing of a limited test ban treaty. The group includes five senators with bipartisanship reflected by Senators Aiken and Saltonstall. House members are not included as ratification rests with the Senate. Senate leaders foresee a two thirds vote for ratification amid calls to keep politics out of the issue. The delegation aims to gather facts and avoid partisan commitments before the signing ceremony likely Monday.
